About Rapid Change
Rapid Change, Action modifier/combat, designed by Craig Maher first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
Rapid Change is best in a Protean deck that wants both stealth on its actions and a reliable way to end combat: it can help an action succeed at [pro], or, at superior [PRO], provide a combat-end strike when a vampire is pressured. Its main drawback is that those modes are mutually exclusive, and the combat-end option requires superior Protean and uses the vampire’s strike. For stealth, cards such as Earth Meld or Form of the Wolf may offer more useful effects depending on your plan; for combat defense, superior Protean’s Earth Meld is often a stronger combat-end option because it can also provide damage prevention, while Read the Winds can help avoid combat before it starts. Rapid Change is worth considering as a flexible, low-cost include in a deck that lacks room for dedicated stealth and combat defense, but it is generally a situational option rather than a staple, especially when a more focused card better supports your strategy.
