About Melange
Melange, Reaction, designed by Harold Arthur McNeill, Britt Martin first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 5 different ways.
Melange is best in an Auspex-based wall or toolbox deck that expects to block frequently, especially one with enough stealth reduction or intercept to reliably stop an acting minion and later bleed that minion’s controller; its zero blood cost and attached-card effect can create useful pressure, but the bonus is conditional and the card provides only +1 intercept at either level. In most decks, **Eyes of Argus** or **Enhanced Senses** are better because their superior versions provide stronger, more immediately useful intercept, while **Second Tradition: Domain** is usually better for a suitable Prince or Bishop. Melange can be a reasonable thematic or metagame choice in a block-heavy AUS wall, particularly when you value the delayed +1 bleed, but it is generally not efficient enough for competitive play and should only see play as a low-cost supplemental reaction rather than a core card.
