About Marcellus (G2)

Marcellus (G2), Vampire, designed by Michael Astrachan first released in May 1996 in the set Ancient Hearts and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Marcellus fits a **Toreador prince vote deck** that uses his two votes to pass political actions and his built-in +1 bleed to keep pressure on opponents between votes. His Nosferatu tax is a nice matchup bonus, but too narrow to be a reason to include him. **Anson** is generally the stronger eight-capacity Toreador prince if your crypt uses the legal group 1–2 pairing: an extra master phase action is useful far more often. Marcellus is still playable as a supporting vampire, especially when you want a prince who can also bleed effectively, but I would not build a deck around him or treat him as a must-play.
