About Inquisition
Inquisition, Action, designed by David Day first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted.
Inquisition best fits a Sabbat stealth-action or combat deck that can reliably reach opposing bishops—especially in a meta with bishop-heavy political, vote, or swarm decks—because it can strip multiple titles and deal 2 unpreventable damage, potentially destabilizing an entire hierarchy; however, its usefulness is highly matchup-dependent, it requires a ready Sabbat vampire, and the affected controllers may block it with additional blockers, making it unreliable against strong intercept. There is no broadly superior card that performs the same mass title-removal function, but Banishment is generally better for permanently disrupting or temporarily removing one key vampire, while ordinary bleed, vote, or combat actions are usually more useful when bishops are not common. Inquisition should therefore see play only as a metagame or side-deck-style inclusion—perhaps one or two copies in a dedicated Sabbat deck—not as a standard staple.
