About Faceless Night
Faceless Night, Action modifier, designed by Harold Arthur McNeill, Samuel Araya first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 10 different ways.
Faceless Night is most useful in stealth-bleed, stealth-vote, and other Obfuscate-heavy decks whose vampires regularly expect blocks but want failed blockers locked before the action resolves, making the superior effect especially valuable when chaining multiple actions or preventing a tapped blocker from defending again; however, it is generally weaker than `Cloak the Gathering` when you only need stealth, since Cloak provides +1 stealth at basic and +2 stealth at superior for the same zero blood cost, while `Lost in Crowds` and similar cards offer even more stealth at a cost, so Faceless Night should mainly see play as a niche complement in decks that can reliably play it at superior and value the blocker-locking effect rather than as an automatic stealth inclusion.
