About Durga Syn (G4)

Durga Syn (G4), Vampire, designed by Andrew Trabbold first released in September 2007 in the set Lords of the Night and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Durga Syn fits a Ravnos toolbox or wall deck that already has intercept, combat, and untap effects: her ability can punish gun and equipment-based vampires, while her capacity-4-or-less blocking clause lets her repeatedly defend against weenie vampires and allies without locking. However, paying nine pool for a vampire whose main value depends on the opposing minion having equipment is usually too narrow, and she is unlikely to justify a crypt slot in an aggressive Ravnos bleed or vote deck; dedicated equipment theft such as Carlton Van Wyk is generally cheaper and more reliable, while ordinary intercept vampires provide broader defensive value. Durga Syn should see play only as a metagame choice in an equipment-heavy environment or in a carefully built Ravnos defensive toolbox, not as a generally strong inclusion.
