About Dodge

Dodge, Combat, designed by L. A. Williams first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

Dodge is most useful in combat-focused decks that expect to face damaging or otherwise dangerous strikes, especially decks with vampires who lack built-in defensive options; it lets them avoid a strike without spending blood, though the delayed replacement means you temporarily lose a card from hand. Whether it is worthwhile depends on the deck: **Blur** or **Pursuit** can be better in decks built around maneuvering and pressuring opponents, while **Sideslip** or **Combat Ends** (where available to your vampires) can offer stronger defensive outcomes, but they have different requirements and costs. Dodge is a reasonable low-cost, broadly usable safety card, but it is usually not a staple in a deck that can reliably prevent damage, end combat, or win its combats—include it when your combat package needs a simple answer to dangerous strikes, rather than as a default card.
