About Dagon's Call
Dagon's Call, Combat, designed by Durwin Talon first released in June 2001 in the set Final Nights and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Dagon’s Call is best suited to a dedicated close-range Quietus combat deck, especially an Assamite rush deck that uses Immortal Grapple or other range-control effects to keep the opposing minion in close combat and then accumulates damage over several press steps; it is less attractive in general combat or intercept decks because its environmental damage does nothing if the strike is not made at close range and the combat ends quickly. Carrion Crows is usually the better environmental-damage card because it provides reliable damage without requiring your strike to connect at close range, while additional Quietus strike options or damage-enhancing cards are generally more efficient when your plan is simply to end combat quickly. Dagon’s Call is therefore a niche inclusion rather than a staple: it can be worthwhile as a one- or two-card package in a dedicated persistent-damage Quietus build, but most competitive decks should omit it in favor of more reliable range control, strike damage,
