About Daemonic Possession
Daemonic Possession, Action, designed by Mark Nelson first released in June 2001 in the set Final Nights and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Daemonic Possession fits a **Necromancy deck that regularly burns opposing minions**, especially one with combat or rush actions to make targets available. Its payoff is substantial: at superior NEC, the stolen minion arrives ready and unlocked, potentially giving you an immediate extra action or a useful ally. The drawback is reliability—you need an opponent’s minion to have burned since your last turn, and you must spend an action and 2 resources to claim it. **Graverobbing** is generally a better theft card for a Dominate deck that can put vampires into torpor, because it does not require them to burn; **Far Mastery** is a more direct choice if your aim is to steal allies already in play. Neither is a straight replacement for Daemonic Possession’s ability to retrieve a burned minion. I’d play it as a small, opportunistic inclusion in a deck built to create those opportunities, not as a staple in a general Necromancy deck.
