About Consecration Rites
Consecration Rites, Action, designed by Harold Arthur McNeill first released in October 1996 in the set Sabbat and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Consecration Rites fits a Sabbat deck with a ready archbishop, priscus, cardinal or regent that relies on a particularly valuable location, such as a Powerbase. It provides insurance against one directed action, but spending your own action to protect a location your opponent may never target is a substantial cost. **Direct Intervention** is usually the more flexible choice against an action card such as *Arson*: it cancels the threat when played, needs no titled vampire and costs you no action. Consecration Rites is worth considering if attacks on your key locations are common in your playgroup, but it generally should not be a standard inclusion.
