About Brick Laying
Brick Laying, Action, designed by Fred Harper first released in November 2003 in the set Black Hand and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
Brick Laying fits best in a Potence-based combat or toolbox deck that wants to clear a specific blocker before a key bleed or political action, with an additional niche against troublesome allies or haven-dependent vampires; superior Potence adds useful damage, particularly against a fragile ally or an already-wounded vampire. Its main drawback is opportunity cost: although it costs no blood, it still consumes an action, can be blocked, and usually produces less pressure than entering combat or advancing your pool-damage plan. For a dedicated combat deck, **Bum’s Rush** is generally better because it lets you attack a chosen minion and exploit your full combat package; **Deep Song** is usually better if your vampires also have Animalism, combining combat access with a bleed option. **Horseshoes** is a stronger alternative when your purpose is direct damage to younger vampires, while **Entrancement** is generally more rewarding against allies if you have Presence, since stealing an ally
