About Basir (G4)

Basir (G4), Vampire, designed by Mark Poole first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Basir fits a Banu Haqim swarm deck that already plays master Discipline cards: he is a cheap clan minion, and his ability refunds a blood when you put one of those cards on him. That is a narrow payoff, though. Spending master phase actions to build up a 1-capacity vampire is usually less effective than influencing out a Banu Haqim vampire with the disciplines you need already printed; if you only want a cheap utility vampire and do not need the clan, **Anarch Convert** is often a stronger choice. Basir cannot block or play reactions, so I would play him only when the deck specifically benefits from his clan and Discipline-card interaction—not as a default crypt pick.
