About Barth (G3)
Barth (G3), Vampire, designed by Christopher Shy first released in August 2002 in the set Camarilla Edition and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Barth is best in a Toreador intercept or toolbox deck that wants to block actions from weenie and small-capacity decks, since his ability makes vampires of capacity 3 or less controlled by both your prey and predator easier to block while he remains ready and unlocked; he is especially useful against swarm bleed, vote, or rush strategies, but much less impressive against large-capacity or stealth-heavy vampires. The effect is strong when it applies, yet a five-capacity vampire whose value depends on staying unlocked is a significant investment, and cards such as Eyes of Argus, Enhanced Senses, Second Tradition: Domain, or Telepathic Misdirection generally provide more reliable defensive value and flexibility. Barth should therefore see play only in a dedicated wall or toolbox metagame call against small-vampire swarms; he is not generally strong enough to justify inclusion in most Toreador decks.
