About Visionquest
Visionquest, Action, designed by Peter Bergting first released in July 2018 in the set Heirs to the Blood Reprint and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Visionquest fits an Ahrimane deck built around **superior Spiritus** when some of its vampires start with only basic Spiritus: it upgrades them without spending pool or a master-phase action. The **Spiritus** master discipline card is generally a better way to make that upgrade, because it does not consume a vampire’s action or risk leaving them locked through their next unlock phase if blocked. Visionquest can still be a reasonable budget or supplemental choice if your deck has spare actions and needs its master slots for other cards, but it usually should not see play in an optimized deck—especially if your key Ahrimanes already have superior Spiritus.

The "does not unlock as normal" effect is redundant with being infernal. If the minion is infernal, his controller can still pay a pool to unlock him. [LSJ 20050114]
