About Trophy: Retainers
Trophy: Retainers, Master, designed by Satyr first released in February 2005 in the set Kindred Most Wanted.
Retainers best fits a combat deck built to burn Red List minions and then make repeated use of a particular retainer, such as Raven Spy, without spending actions to employ it. The catch is substantial: the trophy does nothing until a vampire claims it, so most retainer decks should not include it just for the search effect. There is no strictly better card that provides the same repeatable, action-free retainer search, but **Pack Alpha** is usually a more practical way for an Animalism combat deck to employ retainers without a separate action, while **Charisma** is better if reducing their cost is the priority. It can see play in a dedicated Red List trophy deck; I would leave it out of a conventional retainer deck.
