About Strix
Strix, Reaction, designed by Justin Norman first released in February 2010 in the set Heirs to the Blood.
its lower effect helps a vampire block repeatedly, while its upper effect lets a combat-ready vampire stop a successful bleed from costing you pool and then fight the bleeder. It is much less attractive in a deck that neither blocks nor wants combat, especially because it costs 1 blood each time. For straightforward bleed defense, **Deflection** or **Telepathic Misdirection** are usually better if your vampires can play them: redirecting a bleed protects your pool without committing you to combat. Strix should see play as a **situational card** in a deck already built around Striga and combat, rather than as a general-purpose defensive staple.
