About Distraction
Distraction, Action, designed by Mark Poole first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
Distraction is a **niche card for CEL-heavy decks** that need to clear a prey’s blocker before an important action, while valuing the inferior option as a way to find key cards. Its drawback is tempo: locking one minion costs a card, a minion action, and the card’s cost. **Misdirection** is usually a better way to lock a prey’s minion because it does not use a minion action, though it takes a master-phase action instead; **Heart of Nizchetus** is generally better for repeatable hand cycling. I would consider one or two copies only if both modes are useful to your deck, rather than treating Distraction as a staple.
