About Dance with the Devil
Dance with the Devil, Combat, designed by Carlos Díaz first released in October 2025 in the set Sabbat V5.
Dance with the Devil best fits an Obfuscate/Thaumaturgy combat or toolbox deck that wants to force close range for hand strikes, grapples, weapons, or cards such as Immortal Grapple, particularly in decks whose vampires lack Celerity and therefore need discipline-based maneuvers; the superior version is useful when a vampire occasionally needs a second close-range maneuver, but paying 1 blood makes it less efficient than simply including more dedicated combat options. If the deck has Celerity, Flash is generally better because it provides the same close-range maneuver effect and is more commonly supported, while Pursuit may be preferable when you also value an additional strike; for OBF/THA vampires without CEL, there is no universally superior direct replacement, though broader combat packages may offer more utility. It should see play only as a niche one- or two-copy inclusion in a dedicated close-range combat package, not as a staple: it is worth using when reaching close range is c
