About Bribes
Bribes, Action modifier, designed by Mark Poole, Corey Macourek first released in August 1994 in the set Jyhad and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.
Bribes fits a vote-heavy political deck that calls frequent referendums and relies on table deals: it gives you 1 pool immediately while offering other players a reason to support your vote. It is less attractive when your referendums hurt everyone else, since the incentive may not change their votes, or when giving rivals pool undermines your plan. If your vampires have Presence, **Voter Captivation** is usually the stronger pool-gain card after a successful referendum, though it is not a direct replacement: Bribes needs no discipline and pays you even if the vote fails. I would play a copy or two in a deal-oriented political deck, especially one without Presence, but not treat it as a staple.
