About Bond
Bond, Action, designed by Thomas Manning first released in April 2006 in the set Nights of Reckoning.
Bond is a niche recovery card for **imbued decks**, especially toolbox or blocking builds whose imbued regularly end up incapacitated: its zero cost, +1 stealth, and point of restored life make bringing a valuable minion back into play easier. A vampire can also take this action, so it can fit a mixed vampire/imbued deck, but it does nothing for a deck without imbued and becomes a dead draw when none are incapacitated. **There is no strictly better direct replacement in every situation**, although prevention and protection usually deserve priority: **The Unmasking** is generally a better foundational inclusion for an imbued blocking deck because it gives your ready allies +1 intercept, while **React with Conviction** protects imbued against effects that would steal them or burn them outright—situations Bond cannot repair. Those cards serve different roles rather than replacing Bond’s rescue effect. **Bond should see occasional play, usually as a single utility copy**, if incapacitation

The gain life effect is reminder text, it does not add to the life normally gained by an Imbued leaving the incapacited region. [LSJ 20091118]
