| نكهة | The wounds he'd suffered would definitely have killed a mortal and would have destroyed many a Kindred. Jan had only the blood of Hardestadt and the elders of Clan Ventrue to thank that he'd survived this long. |

حول Soak
Soak, Combat, صمم بواسطة Andrew Trabbold صدر لأول مرة في مايو 2004 في التحرير Gehenna وطبع بالضبط في 7 أشكال مختلفة.
Soak fits a combat-heavy deck with vampires who have Fortitude, especially one that expects repeated fights and mostly non-aggravated damage. Its zero cost and four points of prevention at superior Fortitude make it efficient, but the once-per-round limit and inability to stop aggravated damage are real drawbacks. **Skin of Steel** is generally the stronger choice when you need broader protection from a dangerous strike; Soak is more attractive when free, high-volume prevention is the priority. It can see play as a few copies in a dedicated Fortitude combat deck, but I would not treat it as an automatic inclusion.
