Sensory Overload is most useful in a deck that wants to temporarily shut down a dangerous opposing minion without rushing it—especially a stealth-and-bleed or political deck that needs to prevent a key blocker or action performer from interfering while it pursues another target. The [CHI] version lasts until your unlock phase, so it can deny actions and blocks through the opponent’s turn; the unmerged version ends sooner, at their discard phase. Its main drawback is that the minion remains ready, so it can still be targeted or affected, and the card costs an action to play and can be removed by effects that burn attached cards. For a dedicated shutdown strategy, **Sensory Deprivation** is generally better because it can keep a minion locked down across turns, while **Entrancement** is better if you want to take control of a suitable minion rather than merely restrict it.
