Rowan Ring best fits a dedicated close-range combat or rush deck, especially one built around Potence or other reliable maneuvers, because it can remove an opposing vampire from play and keep that vampire in torpor until rescued; however, it requires an equip action, is limited to close range, is unique, and transfers to the opposing vampire, effectively giving them the weapon after they recover. For most combat decks, **Decapitate** is better when available in a Potence build because it can torporize the opposing vampire without requiring equipment and can also burn that vampire’s equipment, while gun-combat decks generally prefer repeatable weapons such as **Ivory Bow** or **Sniper Rifle**. Rowan Ring is powerful in a narrow rush deck that can reliably force close range and values long-term torpor control, but its setup cost and one-use nature make it too situational for most competitive decks, so it generally should not see play unless the deck is specifically designed to exploit it
