Off Kilter fits a slower Samedi wall or attrition deck that has spare actions and can hold the Edge: it gives reliable pool gain at +1 stealth, and holding the Edge lets you turn that action into 2 pool immediately. `Ascendance` is a more efficient burst of pool because it costs no minion action, but it uses your master-phase action instead, so it is not a direct replacement. Off Kilter is worth playing if your deck needs repeatable pool defense and often controls the Edge; in an aggressive rush or bleed deck, your vampires’ actions are usually better spent advancing your win condition.
