The "can act the turn it is recruited" text does not let him act during an opponent's turn if it was recruited then (eg. using {Enkil Cog}). [ANK 20200930] [ANK 20200813-3]
08/10/2026
The ally counts as "independent" when playing cards as a vampire [LSJ 20020503] [LSJ 20060126]
08/10/2026
Multiple similar effects (e.g. two {Infernal Familiar}, or {Ian Forestal} with an {Infernal Familiar}) cannot be used to meet the requirements of a multi-Discipline card that the minion is missing one or more Disciplines to play. [LSJ 20020218]
08/10/2026
While a minion has an effect that allows them to play cards that require Discipline(s), they do not actually have those Discipline(s). [LSJ 19980303]
08/10/2026
While using their ability to meet a discipline requirement, they also meet that requirement for any other cards associated with the original effect (e.g. meeting the [ani] requirement for {Pack Alpha} or {Muricia's Call} also meets the [ani] requirement for the {Raven Spy} employed by that effect). [LSJ 20080205-2] [LSJ 20060417]
08/10/2026
Can be used to meet one (but not more than one) of the normal Discipline requirements of a multi-Discipline card. [LSJ 20011217] [LSJ 20090508]
08/10/2026
Does not stack with similar effects (or another copy of itself) to provide superior version of the discipline(s) (e.g. {Leech} and {Putrescent Servitude} together does not provide superior [POT]) [ANK 20180111]
08/10/2026
If a card they play as a vampire sends them to torpor (eg. {Reform Body}), they burn. REVERSAL of previous rulings. [LSJ 20060409]
08/10/2026
They cannot use a card to commit diablerie (eg. {Amaranth}) [RTR 19970630] [LSJ 20080717]
08/10/2026
If they takes aggravated damage from a card they plays as a vampire (eg. {Burst of Sunlight}), they lose one life but do not go to torpor. [LSJ 20060409]
08/10/2026
If they use their last life to pay for an action, the action still resolves fully. If that leads to an oust, the oust is resolved before resolving effects triggered by the fact that they burn. [LSJ 20080512]
08/10/2026
If they use their last life to play an action modifier, the action fails. If they use their last life to play a strike, combat ends before strike resolution. [ANK 20180928-1]
