Jayakumar is best suited to an equipment-theft or toolbox Ravnos deck that expects to target opposing guns, intercept equipment, or key combo pieces, but he is generally too expensive and inefficient for serious constructed play: a 6-capacity vampire with no stated discipline requirement spends 2 blood merely to perform a potentially blocked, directed action, and he contributes little when opponents do not play equipment. Better options include `Carlton Van Wyk`, whose built-in equipment theft is attached to a cheap, expendable ally, and vampires such as `Anson` or other efficient crypt choices that can use action cards like `Torn Signpost`/`Disarm`-style combat plans while remaining useful outside the theft role; in dedicated equipment-control strategies, generic intercept, stealth, and political pressure are usually more reliable than Jayakumar’s narrow ability.
