Forearm Block

حول Forearm Block

Forearm Block, Combat, صمم بواسطة Imaginary Friends Studios صدر لأول مرة في سبتمبر 2007 في التحرير Lords of the Night.

Forearm Block would mainly benefit a dedicated close-combat or intercept-combat deck whose vampires expect to take hand strikes and continue into another round, especially when facing Potence-heavy opponents; however, its narrow prevention of only 2 damage and conditional first-strike bonus make it unreliable, since it does nothing against ranged strikes, aggravated damage, or non-damage strike effects. In most decks, `Dodge` is better because it completely avoids the opposing strike, while combat decks may prefer cards such as `Skin Trap`, `Flesh of Marble`, or discipline-based prevention depending on their disciplines and strategy. Forearm Block can be a reasonable budget or metagame inclusion in a hand-combat deck expecting lots of ordinary hand damage, but it generally should not see play in tuned decks because its effect is too situational and it competes with stronger combat-defense and damage-prevention cards.
