Apparition

حول Apparition

Apparition, Combat, صمم بواسطة Stuart Beel, Craig Grant صدر لأول مرة في ديسمبر 1995 في التحرير Dark Sovereigns وطبع بالضبط في 4 أشكال مختلفة.

Apparition is most useful in a Chimerstry-based attrition-combat deck, especially Ravnos combining Animalism damage such as Carrion Crows with ways to prolong combat: its prevention refreshes every round, so one card can protect your vampire repeatedly while the opponent takes damage. At superior Chimerstry, preventing 2 damage per round—including aggravated damage—can be good value for its 1-blood cost, but it is less impressive in short combats or against large damage packets, and “do not replace until after combat” temporarily reduces your available options. There is no universally better alternative: Mirror Image is generally better for defensive decks that simply want to escape combat, thanks to its superior-Chimerstry combat-ending strike, while vampires with Fortitude can use Soak for free, stronger immediate prevention of non-aggravated damage, although it does not provide Apparition’s recurring protection. Apparition should therefore see selective play in dedicated multi-round
