Telepathic Counter best fits an Auspex-based wall or defensive control deck—especially one with many minions capable of blocking but without access to Dominate bounce—because it costs no blood and can reduce a bleed by 1 or 2, often turning a dangerous bleed into a manageable one or stopping a small bleed entirely. However, it is generally weaker than bleed-redirection cards such as Telepathic Misdirection, Deflection, Redirection, or My Enemy’s Enemy, since bouncing a bleed transfers the threat away rather than merely reducing it; Telepathic Misdirection is the most natural comparison for an Auspex deck, while Deflection and related cards are usually stronger if the deck can play them. Telepathic Counter can see play as supplemental defense in an Auspex-heavy wall, toolbox, or intercept deck—particularly in a metagame with frequent moderate bleeds—but it should rarely be a primary defensive reaction or occupy many deck slots.
