Target Hand is best in combat decks that rely on dealing damage with strikes—especially decks using aggravated or otherwise hard-to-prevent damage—and can exploit its weapon destruction against weapon-heavy opponents; it is less useful when your strikes are mainly for maneuvering, prevention, or non-damaging effects. Its main drawback is that the strength reduction and weapon destruction require damage to be successfully inflicted, while the opponent can cancel it by discarding two combat cards, and it competes with other aims for the one aim allowed per strike. There is no universally better replacement: use Target Vitals when you want a more direct damage boost, or an aim that better supports your deck’s specific strike plan; choose Target Hand when weapons are a meaningful concern. It is a situational inclusion rather than a staple—play it if your deck reliably lands damaging strikes and expects weapons, but otherwise prioritize more consistent combat cards.
