Storage Annex is most useful in a combo or toolbox deck that needs to save a particular card for a later turn—such as a finisher or a matchup-specific answer—without keeping it in hand. It is less useful if your main goal is to find better cards: The Barrens and Dreams of the Sphinx generally do more for hand management, though neither serves exactly the same purpose as banking one chosen card. Because Storage Annex costs a master phase action to play, offers no immediate draw, and lets you retrieve the stored card only during your master phase, it usually should not see play in a typical deck. Consider one copy only if your deck regularly draws a crucial card well before it can use it.
