Split the Veil mainly benefits dedicated Hecata/Giovanni ally decks that use wraiths or zombies as disposable combat and bleed assets, since it is free, stealthy, and eventually returns a burned ally at full starting life; it is especially useful in attrition-heavy builds that expect their allies to die, though the two-unlock-phase delay makes it poor as an emergency recovery card and the two-card-per-phase limit prevents mass recursion. `Raising the Dead` is generally better when you have Necromancy, because it brings an ally back immediately rather than requiring a delayed investment, while `Split the Veil` is more attractive when you lack the discipline requirement or want persistent recursion that does not require paying another action later. It should see play as a niche one- or two-copy option in a dedicated Hecata ally-recursion deck, but it is not broadly strong enough for standard Hecata or vampire-focused decks.
